Sell it with usPatek Philippe’s Annual Calendar Chronograph ref. 5905, released in 2015, quickly became one of the hottest watches on the market and a ‘grail’ acquisition for many. This handsomely designed Patek features a solid platinum case, weighing in at a reassuringly hefty 130.3 grams. And just as with other platinum pieces from Patek, to distinguish this model from the white gold version, the icing on the cake is the Top Wesselton diamond between the lugs at 6 o’clock.
In terms of complications, the Patek Philippe ref. 5905P features a convenient 60-minute chronograph at 6 o'clock —with day/night indicator— and annual calendar information displayed via three apertures between 10 and 2 o'clock. The sunburst blue dial is accentuated by white gold applied hour markers and white imprinted minute track and white fonts. The beating heart of this reference is the automatic calibre CH 28-520 QA 24H. This exquisitely finished movement is fully visible via the display case back and provides a visual treat. It’s an exceptional movement composed of 402 parts, 37 jewels and a gold oscillating weight. When fully wound, the movement provides a power reserve of 55 hours.
To complete the watch’s elegant and understated look, it’s fitted with a matte navy blue hand-stitched alligator strap with square scales and a Patek-signed triangle-top pin buckle.
This watch was originally retailed in 2020 and shows light marks and swirls on the case. The strap shows visible signs of wear. It comes as a full set with its Certificate of Origin from Patek Philippe presentation boxes, swing tag and papers.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
