Sell it with usA tribute to Galileo Galilei, “Lo Scienziato” (the Scientist in Italian), PAM768 pushes the boundaries of case construction and movement design. The case is created through the 3D printing process Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) from titanium powder. This allows the hollow form to be lighter and stronger than traditional milling. The bezel, winding crown and safety lock lever are crafted from Carbotech, a composite based on carbon fibre.
The P.2005/T calibre has titanium plates and bridges in a contemporary openworked design and has an innovative 30-second tourbillon that rotates at 90 degrees to the axis of the balance. 3 spring barrels deliver a power reserve of 144hrs. The lattice dial shows hours, minutes and the second time-zone on the central hands, with the running seconds, power reserve and the day/night indicator on sub-dials. The use of advanced materials and open-work movement manufacture reduces the overall weight of the watch to a mere 41 grams.
Numbered 108 of 150, this watch is offered in excellent condition with very light handling marks visible to the top of the crown protector and the case flank. The strap shows no signs of wear, and the plastic protective sticker is still in place on the buckle. The box and papers are complete and include a bill of sale and an insurance valuation from the retailer, the limited edition certificate has not been completed. Also included the sale are a green Cordura strap with buckle and a black Velcro strap.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
