BreitlingSuper Avenger Chronograph 48

The Super Avenger Chronograph 48 ‘Night Mission’ builds upon Breitling’s aviation credentials and is a bold, robust and shock-resistant watch with a strong wrist presence. This is derived not only from the large (48mm) case dimensions but also from an imposing design and striking aesthetic. True to the ethos of the Breitling Avenger line, it is designed to be used when wearing gloves, and the watch features a rugged bezel with a special knurling on the crown & chronograph pushers.

The dial is a dark, almost navy blue, and is marked with Arabic numerals with thick Super-Luminova. The Arabic numerals are similar to the stencilled numbers used on the decks of aircraft carriers. The hands are large and also coated with Super-Luminova. The sub-dial layout of the chronograph is typical of the Valjoux 7750 movement, which forms the basis of the Breitling Caliber B13 that powers it. The case back is closed and engraved with the Breitling Avenger logo and text, including the stated Chronometer Certification (COSC). The watch case is rendered in DLC coated titanium and is fitted with a blue military strap that fits either a DLC coated stainless steel pin buckle or deployant clasp, as is fitted to this example.

This lot is accompanied by its box and papers and falls within the bounds of the seller's condition rating of AA.
