Sell it with usOne of Breitlings most classic watches, this single-owner 2020 Breitling Navitimer 1 is a beautiful example of the Swiss watchmaker’s iconic aviator’s watch. It comes as a complete set with the original box, swing tags, user manuals, proof of purchase, and protectors for the crystal and bezel. With some light marks to the case, the watch is within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
This watch has a rose gold bezel fitted to a 40mm stainless steel case. Its contrasting black baton dial and black leather strap with white stitching provides it with a high-class, but subtle aesthetic. It would look equally as comfortable at a cocktail reception or in a cockpit cruising at 37,000 feet over the Atlantic. At the heart of the Navitimer beats the Breitling 13 caliber. This COSC-certified automatic movement is automatically wound by a unilaterally acting ball-bearing rotor, delivering a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.
This iconic model can trace its roots back to the 1940s, when Breitling fitted a circular slide rule to its existing Chronomat model and it became the Navitimer. It has since become the choice of pilots and astronauts around the world. In 1961, Breitling produced a 24-hour Navitimer specifically for the Mercury space programme.
