Sell it with usThis 2019 Tudor Fastrider Black Shield is a one-owner example and was purchased new from a Tudor authorised dealer in the UK. It’s accompanied by the box, warranty card, sleeve and booklets. Some light signs of wear are visible on the case, and the strap has some creasing commensurate with regular wear. The watch’s overall condition is within the bounds of the seller’s ‘A’ grading.
A highlight of the Fastrider collection, the Black Shield features a monobloc case made of scratch-resistant ceramic, inspired by the Ducati XDiavel. It has a stealthy matte-black finish and a tachymeter scale is engraved into the bezel as a nod to the watch’s motorsport theme. Neatly integrated on the flank at 9 o’clock is a date adjuster in the shape of the Ducati logo.
The matte black dial is richly textured with raised chapter rings on the sub-registers, outboard of an intricate concentric pattern. Also providing depth are the applied red indices, which, alongside the red accents on the hands, provide a contrasting splash of colour. A discreet date aperture is positioned at 4:30. Attached to the case is a black leather strap with contrasting red stitching and a DLC-coated steel deployant clasp. The watch is powered by a modified ETA 7753 calibre, boasting a power reserve of 46 hours.
The Fastrider collection was launched back in 2011 as a collaboration between Tudor and motorcycle manufacturer Ducati. It’s a line defined by sporty looks and the introduction of contemporary materials and construction techniques, including the monobloc ceramic case seen in this example.
