Sell it with usThis one-owner “James Bond” limited edition Omega Seamaster was purchased at the Omega Boutique in Florida’s Mall of Millenia in 2019. It is accompanied by its original box, operating manual, certificate of authenticity, proof of purchase, and official Omega international warranty card. The set also comes with an unworn rubber strap and an Omega-branded strap-changing tool. There are some light markings on the stainless steel case and bracelet, and the watch appears within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
The limited “James Bond” edition Seamaster was commissioned in 2019 to celebrate 50 years since the release of the 1969 007 adventure, “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. The watch boasts several Bond-themed tropes, the most evident is its black ceramic dial engraved with the iconic 9-millimetre 007 gun barrel design. Look even closer, and you’ll notice a downsized 18k version of Bond’s family coat-of-arms at the 12 o’clock hour marker. A subtle reference to this Seamaster’s Bond lineage is the secret ‘50’ revealed at the 10 o’clock marker when the watch’s face is illuminated.
A total of 7,007 of these timepieces were made, and each watch’s number is engraved on an 18K yellow gold screw-mounted gold plate found on the side of its 42mm case. Under the skin is the self-winding Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 movement, which has a power reserve of 55 hours and is magnetic resistant up to 15,000 gauss.
Introduced in 1948, the Seamaster is Omega’s longest-standing model and is considered a rival for the equally loved Rolex Submariner. The Seamaster Professional 300m debuted as Bond’s watch of choice in the 1995 film, “Goldeneye”.
