SUMMARY

The cornerstone of the IWC catalogue is without a doubt the Big Pilot. The imposing 46.2mm case houses the automatic IWC calibre 51111, running at 3 Hz. This particular reference is finished in black ceramic to honour the Top Gun Fighter Weapons School. True to its aviation roots it has a soft-iron inner case to protect against magnetic fields and hacking seconds. Modern refinements include a date display, power reserve indicator and a screw-down crown. The black nylon strap is secured by a signed deployant clasp.
