Sell it with usThis Sixties Panorama Date is defined by its dial, which is striking both in colour and texture. The explosive embossed finish is complemented by the colour gradient, which transitions from green to black towards the perimeter. Available in several dial colours, this version with a green finish was a limited-edition release in the second half of 2018 that quickly sold out.
As the name suggests, the watch is influenced by 1960s design, and this is no more evident than the Arabic numerals at 3,6,9 and 12 o’clock. The scalloped and polished indices provide a three-dimensional appearance that adds further visual interest. The large double-digit date display is neatly positioned above 6 o’clock and allows the dial to maintain its symmetry. A dramatically domed sapphire crystal, created in the style of mid-century plexiglass, has been thoughtfully incorporated to tie in with the watch’s vintage inspiration. On the underside, a sapphire case back allows the wearer to view the calibre GUB 39-47, which is handsomely finished and features a 40-hour power reserve. Attached to the case is a factory leather strap with a pin buckle.
This 2019 example is presented in good condition with some light scratches visible on the case. Included in the sale are the box, guarantee card and booklet.
