The Bremont H-4 Hercules is an incredible machine with a fascinating story. Based on their three-piece Trip-Tick case, this 43mm wide H-4 Hercules comes in rose gold, platinum, and steel as shown here. As is the usual feature of Bremont flagship limited editions, each and every one of the 450 H-4 Hercules has a winding rotor that holds actual birch wood sourced from the fuselage of the H-4 Hercules, the ‘Spruce Goose’, a legendary 1940s aircraft, known for its extensive use of wood.

You can see the case back, which shows a rotor meant to evoke the propellor of a plane, with each blade holding a small piece of wood from the original plane. Provenance aside, it looks incredible. Each version has its own twist on dial treatment but all three share the same elegant but traditionally sporty vibe that matches nicely with the H-4's mid-century design inspiration and its GMT functionality.

Based on the La Joux Perret-sourced BWC/01, the H-4 uses a new version of the same base movement called the BWC/02. Also a 4 Hz movement with a 50+ hour power reserve, the BWC/02 offers sub-seconds at nine, a date at six, and an independent 24-hour hand to help track a second time zone, the H-4 Hercules feels like many of Bremont's limited editions, superbly balanced, a large 43mm, and really beautifully made.

Along with the leather strap, the H-4 comes with a grey NATO strap and Bremont has incorporated aileron fabric from the original plane into the packaging surrounding the watch.

This 2019 Bremont H-4 Hercules is supplied in absolutely mint condition throughout, with both straps and a complete full set of extensive accessories and accoutrements in as new condition, from its original sale.
