Sell it with usThis 2019 Bell & Ross BR 03-92 MA-1 was purchased from an official brand boutique and is being auctioned by its sole owner with its original display case, user manual, and proof of its two-year manufacturer guarantee. As an additional accessory, there is also a jacket patch derived from the US Air Force MA-1 flying jacket. The watch is reported to be in strong mechanical order and based on the images and information provided by the vendor, its condition appears to be within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘AA’ grading.
Taking inspiration from the USAF’s iconic MA-1 aviator’s jacket from the 1950s, this Bell & Ross flying watch has some serious wrist presence. Presented with a purposeful 42mm square screw-down case and finished in dark khaki ceramic, the reference is enhanced by its cutaway orange and khaki green dial, which pays tribute to the inner lining of the MA-1. Designed with superior legibility in mind, the dial boasts a luminescent orange blend of Arabic numeral and baton indices, which leave the wearer in no doubt that their watch was inspired by the early years of the military jet age. Between the lugs sits a reversible black/orange calfskin strap embossed with the ‘BR’ logo, and the watch is one of just 999 units produced.
Underneath the rear casing lies the Bell & Ross calibre BR-CAL.302. This automatic movement is based on the Selita SW300.
Founded in 1992, Bell & Ross is a French watchmaker specialising in professional instruments for divers and aviators. Crafted in Switzerland, the brand is the official watch supplier to both France’s air force and space programme.
