Introduced in 2014, the ref. 5990 is a truly versatile and feature-rich variant of Patek Philippe’s popular and sought-after Nautilus model line. The watch is equipped with a chronograph, radial date, and dual time complication, neatly laid out on the horizontally embossed dial.

Patek Philippe employs a clever system for tracking two timezones, offering a day/night indicator for both local and home time, plus the option to hide the second hour hand if the feature is not required. Despite these complications, the distinctive rounded polygon case measures a svelte 40.5mm in diameter and 12.8mm thick. It’s also 120m water-resistant - making it suitable for any occasion or activity. Attached to the case is an integrated bracelet with polished intermediary links and a double deployant clasp. The watch is fitted with an exhibition case back displaying the expertly finished calibre 28-520. Engraved with the Patek Philippe seal, it’s rated to -3 to +2 seconds per day and has a 55-hour power reserve.

This 2018 example is presented in fair condition. There are some visible scratches on the case, bracelet, and clasp. Included in the sale are the box, travel pouch, swing tag and leather wallet containing the certificate of origin and booklets.
