Sell it with usOffered by a private collector, this Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5712/1A-001 was purchased new by the vendor from a UK authorised dealer. The watch is accompanied by its box, cloth sleeve, certificate of origin, booklets, leather folder and adjustment tool. Only minor signs of wear are visible on the watch and its condition is within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
The Nautilus 5712/1A-001 presents in a 40mm stainless steel case with a distinctive rounded octagonal bezel. At 8.52mm in height, it’s both ergonomic and cuff-friendly. The blue dial features a distinctive horizontal embossing that’s complemented by applied white gold hour markers and hands. The sub-registers, which display the complications, feature crisp white numerals and markers, adding visual interest and creating contrast.
The displayed information comes courtesy of the calibre 240 PS IRM C LU, which can be viewed through the exhibition caseback. Expertly finished, the movement has Cotes de Geneve across the bridges and the 22K gold micro-rotor.
The 5712 was launched in 2006 and has since become one of the most desirable luxury steel sports watch on the planet. Sold alongside the recently discontinued 5711, it brings character and technical charm to the Nautilus line by integrating several popular complications - a power reserve indicator, moon phase and a radial date.
