The first chronograph of the Aquanaut line, the reference 5968A-001 features an expertly finished stainless steel case with brushed and polished surfaces across its 42mm diameter. The black dial is incorporates geosphere pattern, with large applied Arabic numerals and orange chronograph accents which have added to the watch’s aesthetic appeal. Visible through the exhibition caseback is the calibre CH 28‑520 C, an in-house flyback movement with expertly finished parts and 55 hours of power reserve. Due to its impressive thinness (8.1mm), the watch can easily slide under any shirt cuff whilst also achieving a depth rating of 120m.
Fitted to the case is the optional orange composite strap which matches the geosphere pattern of the dial and the orange chronograph accents.
A watch that has been loved by enthusiasts due to the unusually playful colouring of a Patek Philippe, it offers the best of both worlds with its technically impressive movement and yet casual look and feel on the wrist.
