In 2017, Omega released the 1957 Trilogy collection to mark the 60th anniversary of the Speedmaster, Railmaster, and Seamaster 300. Not content with simply taking design cues from a bygone era, Omega painstakingly recreated these iconic models as a faithful re-issue. X-ray tomography was used to scan original examples, which ensured the look and feel was correct—right down to the size and materials.

Some minor differences exist between the remakes and originals, including a 60th-anniversary engraving etched into the case back. The bracelets and movements benefit from modern construction techniques, and coloured Super-Luminova is used on the hands and markers in place of radioactive tritium. This means the wearer can experience the original models’ vintage charm with the latest technology and modern build quality.

The Trilogy 1957 models were sold separately or together as a more limited and desirable collection, as we see here. To further distinguish them, the word “TRILOGY” was added to the dial with the unique number out of 557. The watches are housed in a 1950s style red leather box lined with corduroy. A leather pouch is also supplied containing six additional straps, giving the wearer a choice of three leather and three NATO options. This is all brought together inside an impressive oak presentation box.

The watches are presented in mint, unworn condition with the factory plastic protectors still in place. All accessories are included in the sale, including the presentation boxes, leather pouch, additional straps, and warranty.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid.
