Sell it with usAuctioned through a private seller, this 2019 Cartier Ronde Solo de Cartier is presented with its original leather display box, plus original documents including the warranty. The watch wears some light scratches and marks, most of which are noticeable on the rear casing, and bezel. The vendor advises it’s in good working order and it appears to be within the bounds of their ‘A’ grading.
Tastefully simple, this elegant watch is finished in stainless steel with a circular case measuring 36mm in diameter. Like its square-shaped sibling - the much-loved Cartier Santos - the Ronde Solo de Cartier’s dial is a visual feast of clarity. Roman numerals serve as the silver opaline dial’s hour markers, whilst a black inside track and blued stainless steel sword-shaped hands further contribute to the dial’s sense of elegance. It is worth noting that the beaded steel crown at three o’clock is set with a cabochon-shaped spinel in place of Cartier’s traditional sapphire.
Beneath the watch’s mirror-polished solid back case is Cartier’s in-house developed 1847 MC calibre. This automatic movement comprises 23 jewels, and has a power reserve of 42 hours.
The Ronde Solo de Cartier was originally launched in 1937, and is widely considered to be the essence of Cartier amongst brand connoisseurs
