Sell it with usSince 2003, when they started customising Rolexes, Bamford Watch Department has been expertly altering dials, hands, and finishes to create bold new watches for those wanting to stand out even more with their branded wristwear. In more recent years, the company has turned its attention to other brands, including Bvlgari, whose stable models include the Genta-designed Octo.
As in this example, the Octo’s octagonal-shaped dial sits within a round bezel on a 41mm multi-faceted octagonal shaped, atypical case. Bamford then made it even more atypical by coating it with a military-grade titanium coating. The dial and hands have been modified, too, with the blue-tinged glowing lume against a black dial that completes the stealthy look of this striking watch.
The mechanical movement inside the Bulgari Octo Velocissimo Chronograph 41mm is the BVL 328, which is a hi-beat 5Hz / 36,000 VpH chronograph movement based on the revered Zenith El Primero.
It runs a central chronograph hand, plus a 30 minute counter at 3 o’clock, small seconds at 9 o’clock and an hour counter at 6 o’clock.
This lot is offered as a watch only. It is presented on its original black-coated bracelet. The watch shows signs of wear with scratches visible on the case, bezel and bracelet, particularly at the points and edges of the case. While minor, these are scratches to the steel's titanium coating and so cannot be polished out. The condition falls within the range of the seller’s A grading.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid.
