- Introduced in 1969, the Zenith El Primero was the world’s first high-frequency chronograph movement, and debuted in the Swiss brand’s iconic reference A384
- The El Primero movement is highly-regarded in the watch world and considered one of the finest serially produced chronographs on the market
- At 45mm across and finished with a unidirectional black bezel, this rugged Stratos reference was created as a tribute to Felix Baumgartner and the Red Bull project of the same name
- Telemeter markers around the watch’s inner dial, and three sub registers - one black, one grey, and one blue - are indicative of the watch’s utilitarian nature, which is further underlined by its black rubber strap
- The stainless steel rear caseback is stamped with a profile drawing of Baumgartner, and beneath it beats the Zenith Calibre El Primero 405B - an automatic movement with a 50-hour power reserve
- This 2017 all-stainless steel reference also has a power reserve of 50-hour power reserve, offering the wearer genuine functionality
- Offered by a private collector in the UK who purchased the watch new
- Presented with its Zenith-branded lacquered wood display box, outer packaging, warranty, booklets, and swing tag
- Graded ‘A’ for condition by the vendor who reports the watch has been worn sparingly and is in good working order
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
