Sell it with usThe Aquanaut was first launched in 1997 to the surprise of the watch world. A Patek Philippe on a rubber strap seemed oxymoronic at the time, but fast forward to the present day, and it’s a common site amongst luxury watch brands. The Aquanaut strikes a perfect balance of utility and luxury with a rubber strap and waterproof case. This latest generation reference 5167A from 2017 presents in a 40mm rounded polygon shape case, clearly inspired by the Gerald Genta designed Nautilus.
Its expertly hand finished with clearly defined brushed and polished surfaces. The dial features a distinctive geosphere cut, with applied white gold indices, Arabic numerals, and hands all filled with Super-LumiNova. The exhibition caseback on the underside displays the calibre 324 S C, which has a 21K yellow gold winding rotor and a 45-hour power reserve.
The watch is presented in mint, unworn condition with a factory protective sticker on the clasp. The rubber strap has not been sized and is full-length. Purchased by the owner in 2017, it’s been stored in a safe deposit box ever since. Accompanied by the main box, presentation box, certificate of origin, leather folder, and booklets, the watch is a true full set and would suit any fastidious collector.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
