From a private collector, this Panerai Radiomir Black Seal 8 Days is offered alongside its box, guarantee booklet, instruction booklet, bezel protector and original tag with barcode. The vendor advises the watch is in good working order and has graded it ‘A’ for condition. The images appear consistent with that assessment, showing some light marks and scratches to the case and some fraying on the leather strap where it joins the lugs.

In the spirit of Panerai’s timeless design, this Radiomir Black Seal is substantially sized at 45mm in diameter. The watch has plenty of wrist presence with a fully-polished stainless steel case and offers superior legibility with oversize hands and markers coated in luminous Super-LumiNova. Panerai’s Radiomir series takes inspiration from vintage examples by incorporating distinctive wire lugs, securing a factory a brown leather strap to this example.

Turning the watch over, an exhibition case back reveals Panerai's in-house calibre P.5000. This manually wound movement has an 8-day power reserve, which is not only impressive from a technical standpoint but is historically significant as it matches the reserve for the first watches the brand created for Italian naval commandos in the 1940s.
