Offered for sale by a private seller comes this automatic IWC Portofino Chronograph reference IW391010 in stainless steel. The lot comprises the watch and its accompanying Milanese style mesh bracelet, outer and inner boxes, polishing cloth, and all its papers and literature.

The watch was originally retailed in 2014 to the current owner and falls within the boundaries of the seller’s condition rating of ‘A’. Only light signs of wear are visible.

The 42mm stainless steel case is 13.6mm in height and has water resistance to 3 bars. The movement is IWC’s calibre 75320 (an IWC-modified Valjoux Caliber 7750) with 25 jewels, 240 parts and a power reserve of 44 hours. The watch’s functions include the chronograph with hours, minutes and seconds display; small hacking seconds, day and date. The convex sapphire glass is finished with an anti-reflective coating on both sides. The thin, fixed bezel is made of brushed and polished steel.

Against a black dial with thin silver hands and indices, there are three sub-dials, with day and date windows situated at the 3 o’clock position. A day aperture displays the usual abbreviations of three letters. The 30 minutes chronograph sub-dial is set at the 12 o’clock position; the 12 hours chrono counter is situated at the 6 o’clock position, whereas the smaller, 60 seconds sub-dial is located at the 9 o’clock position.

This retro-looking chronograph has striking, mushroom-shaped push-buttons and a Milanese mesh bracelet (20mm at the lugs) in stainless steel, reminiscent of the luxury style of the 1960s.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
