Offered by a private vendor, this 2014 IWC Portofino ref. 3565 is presented with its display box, warranty card and booklets. The vendor advises the watch is in excellent working order following a recent full service by IWC and has subsequently graded it ‘A’ for condition. The images appear consistent with that assessment, showing only minor hairline marks.

Distinctively dressy in its style and proportions, this handsome Portofino measures 40mm in diameter and is finished in polished 18K rose gold. The case back features an intricate engraving of the namesake fishing village that inspired this model line. Equally traditional is the silver dial which has thin rose gold hour markers, with 12 and 6 o’clock signified by Roman numerals. A minutes track runs around the dial’s perimeter and offers a small flourish of colour to mark 60.

Internally, the watch is powered by the calibre 30110. Based on the tried and tested ETA 2892, it’s modified by IWC and equipped with a 42-hour power reserve. Complementing the watch’s aesthetic is a factory brown alligator strap that’s paired with a rose gold pin buckle.
