Celebrating the synergy between automotive and watchmaking excellence, this 2014 Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Red Magic Carbon – one of 1000 limited edition pieces – marked a successful partnership between two luminary brands.

Numbered 0916/1000, the model 401.QX.0123.VR carbon fibre skeletonised chronograph was a symbol of Hublot’s progress towards verticalisation, with its case and its movement designed, developed, and produced entirely in-house.

Featuring a 45.5mm diameter carbon fibre case and bezel – secured by Hublot’s distinctive black PVD coated “H” style titanium screws – with a skeletonised dial protected by a red sapphire crystal, the watch looks modern and menacing, as the finest racing machines should.

There are touches of Ferrari’s influence throughout, with a prancing horse appliqué at 9 o’clock and a hint of Ferrari yellow within the date window. The Ferrari name is also purposefully engraved in red lacquer onto one of its two pushers – designed to control the unique UNICO movement flyback chronograph, which can be reset at any time.

With a frequency of 4hz/28,800 vibrations per hour, a power reserve of 72 hours and with a water resistance of 100m, the Hublot Big Band Ferrari Red Magic Carbon is a guarantee of high chronometric quality.

Secured with either a red or black stitched leather strap, this watch comes with its original automatic winding box and papers. It remains in good, worn condition, with light surface marks on the underside of one of the titanium deployant buckle clasps.
