SUMMARY

Cartier introduced the Tank MC in 2013 as a way of putting a contemporary slant on one of its longest-standing watches. After all, the Tank made its debut over a century ago and takes its name from its resemblance to the tanks used by the French military during World War I. This 2014 reference brings one of the most iconic names in Cartier history into the 21st century thanks to its use of an automatic movement; the most notable feature of the MC series. Cartier's self-winding 1904-PS MC calibre is viewable through the watch's exhibition casebook, and thanks to the watchmaker's use of twin mainspring barrels, delivers a power reserve of 48 hours. This 34.4mm piece is crafted from highly-polished stainless steel, and its silver dial retains several of the Tank's hallmark design elements including an intricate guilloche dial, blue stainless steel 'sword' hands, stylised Roman numerals, and a railway minute track.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
