- A purpose-built dive instrument from Rolex, the Deepsea Sea-Dweller was introduced in 2008 to showcase the Geneva watchmaker’s technical achievements
- With a 5mm thick sapphire crystal, helium escape valve, and proprietary Ring Lock system, this watch can reach staggering depths of 12,800 feet / 3,900 meters
- A 44mm diameter and 17.5mm thick case afford the Deepsea a strong presence on the wrist, but a titanium caseback helps to reduce weight
- A Cerachrom bezel featuring individual markings for the full 60 minute scale differentiate it from the its cousin, the Rolex Submariner
- This 2011 watch has been customised by London-based Rolex modifiers, Pro Hunter
- Whilst the watch hasn’t been altered internally and retains all of its seafaring characteristics, it has been finished with a diamond-like carbon coating inspired by an all-black military-issue Submariner from the 1950s
- A further modification is the red ‘PROHUNTER’ wording above the Sea-Dweller script on the lower half of the dial
- Offered by a private collector in the United Kingdom
- Beneath the rear caseback beats Rolex’s calibre 3135, chronometer-certified movement with a 48-hour power reserve
- Presented with its display box, outer packaging, Rolex guarantee card, Pro Hunter card, booklets, and swing tags
- The watch is supplied with a bezel protector and two spare links from where the bracelet has been resized
- Graded ‘B’ for condition by the vendor who reports the watch to be in good working order
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
