SUMMARY
Short-lived but well-received, the Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph launched in 2006 and was discontinued in 2014. A symbolic piece in Patek Philippe history, it was also the first chronograph variant of what is arguably the world's most desirable sports watch. Penned by Gérald Genta - the designer also responsible for the equally-iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak - this watch measures a significant 40.5mm in diameter, yet it has been refined to ensure maximum on-wrist comfort for the wearer. Adding to the watch's bold aesthetic is the fine polishing on the bezel flank, across the mid-case, and then down the bevels on the bracelet links. Emblematic of the Nautilus, the smoky grey dial features horizontal embossing and applied baton hour finished in white gold. Patek Philippe has managed to neatly integrate the chronograph by grouping the sub-registers together at 6 o’clock, and turning the watch over reveals Patek Philippe’s first-ever in-house chronograph - the CH 28-520 calibre. This self-winding movement sports a 21K gold central rotor and has a 55-hour power reserve.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
