SUMMARY
Introduced in 1997, the Patek Philippe Aquanaut draws inspiration from its Genta-designed counterpart, the Nautilus, yet has its own unique character. Considered unconventional at launch, the Aquanaut was offered on a “Tropical” strap made of rubber, a material not traditionally associated with Switzerland’s premier watchmakers. For more than 25 years now, the Aquanaut has set the trend for other manufacturers to combine luxurious and contemporary materials. This ref. 5167A-001 has an expertly finished 40.8mm stainless steel case with a blend of brushed and polished surfaces showcasing the watchmaker’s attention to detail. Due to its impressive thinness (8.1mm), the case can easily slide under a cuff, and with its screw-down crown and 120m water-resistant case, is just at home by the water.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
