Offered by a UK-based trade seller, this full-set Patek Philippe Annual Calendar ref. 5205G-010 is presented with its display box, outer box, certificate of origin, stylus, booklets and leather pouch. The watch shows some minor signs of wear on the case and its condition appears within the vendor’s ‘A’ grading. The watch is paired with a factory alligator strap and a white gold pin buckle.

This handsomely designed Patek features a white gold case and measures 40mm in diameter, giving the watch the heft of precious metal and the discreteness of steel. Keeping up with the times, this ref. 5205G is specced with a two-tone anthracite dial. In terms of function, its equipped with a moonphase and annual calendar complication, invented and patented by Patek back in 1996. More functional than a standard date complication and much more accessible than a perpetual calendar, the self-winding calibre 324 S QA LU 24H is able to automatically account for the difference in the number of days in each month -except for February. As a result of this and its ~ 45-hour power reserve, the watch requires meddling with only once a year. As is the case with every Patek movement, the calibre 324 used here is beautiful and visible through the exhibition caseback.

The Annual Calendar offers itself as a ‘Holy Grail’ of the newer enthusiast generation as a watch that combines Patek's heritage with contemporary needs.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
