Sell it with usThis one-owner example is presented with its outer card box, red presentation box, warranty card, Officine Panerai ‘controle officiel Suisse des chronometres’ certificate, Ferrari chronograph booklet, guarantee booklet, reference to limited edition number 242 / 300 bar code and QR code print out slip, watch stickers of certification, original price tag of £17,300, and bezel protector. The vendor notes the watch has never been worn, and its condition appears to be within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘AA’ grading.
The Panerai strongly shows it combined branding with Ferrari. The famous Ferrari prancing horse logo, ‘Cavallino Rampante,’ can be seen on the dial in gold, (along with the Ferrari script), on the crown, and case back. The black numeral dial has a small waffle pattern, gold hands, and gold surrounds the sub dials. The crown and chronograph pushers can be screwed down, and the water resistance is noted as 100m on the case back. The name of the watch also echoes the motoring association as GT stands for ‘Gran Turismo’. Classically for a motorsports-orientated watch, there is also a tachymeter scale. The black leather strap in Alligator style has contrast stitching and is mounted on a butterfly clasp. The watch movement is a Swiss mechanical automatic chronograph.
Officine Panerai was founded in 1860 in Florence, Italy. The brand went on to become famous for its rugged diver watches and classic models such as the ‘Radiomir’ and ‘Luminor’. In 2002 Officine Panerai opened its manufacturing centre in Switzerland. During the later part of the 2000s Panerai created its Ferrari Collection with the famous sports car maker.
