Elegant, classic and discreet. These three words perfectly describe this Van Cleef & Arpels ‘’Pierre Arpels’’ dress watch. A design from 1949 that remains almost entirely unchanged, this contemporary iteration combines handsome looks with modern construction. The watch features a slim and round 38mm case finished in yellow gold with distinctive T-bar lugs. The dial is clean and simple with stylised Roman numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock and elongated markers in between. A floating railroad minutes track divides the face into silver and white sectors. Fitted to the case and complementing its warm tones is a factory brown leather strap and gold pin-buckle. The watch is powered by a quartz movement.

This example is offered in good condition and shows some marks and swirls on the case and clasp. The leather strap also shows signs of wear. It’s accompanied by the original box and leather watch roll.
