SUMMARY
Panerai has a rich history, especially with the Italian Navy specialist diving corps, for whom they supplied watches. This Panerai Luminor 8 Days is named after the 8 Day power reserve of the hand-wound calibre P.5000. Inspired by the late 1940s and early 1950s when Panerai used a 16-ligne Angelus calibre which would run for eight days without being wound in order to reduce unnecessary wear on the crown, this watch is part of Panerai and Italian history alike. True to the brand’s heritage, the 44mm stainless steel case has a substantial presence on the wrist. The black ‘sandwich’ dial is designed with legibility in mind and features large luminous markers and numerals. The trademark crown guard protects from knocks and affords the watch 300m of water resistance..
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
