Bought in 2010 from a Patek Philippe Authorised Distributor by the current owner, and since serviced, the watch is offered as a full set with all the original documentation. Worn gently, the watch has only light marks to the case and crown, The strap is in good, worn condition with only light discolouration inside and some creasing from the pin buckle.

Housed in a 40mm white gold case the 5205G exemplifies a truly modern aesthetic. The silver dial had bold baton hour markers and large day and date apertures at 10, 12, and 2. At 6 is placed the moon phase and 24hr indicator, the clean lines complimented by simple dauphine hands and a white sweep seconds. Through the sapphire case back the calibre 324 S QA LU 24H/206 can be seen: a 4Hz movement with 21K gold winding rotor, offering up to 45 hours power reserve.

The 5205G represents a more contemporary direction for Patek Philippe’s design, but there are technical innovations here too. Unlike historic perpetual calendars, this annual calendar benefits from Patek Philippe’s patented instantaneous change across all the aperture displays.
