Sell it with usOffered by a private collector, this 2009 Patek Philippe Annual Calendar ref. 5146G is presented with its display box, outer box, certificate of origin, date corrector tool, booklets, leather folder, swing tag and spare factory alligator strap which is unused. The vendor notes the watch was serviced by Patek in December 2018 and a receipt for this is provided, alongside a service tablet with a video showing the service. Some minor swirls can be seen on the case under close inspection, and the attached strap shows some wear on the inside, bringing the watch in line with the vendor’s ‘A’ grading. They advise the watch has not been worn since it was serviced.
The case of Patek Philippe’s second-generation Annual Calendar measures 39mm in diameter - increasing in size from the ref. 5035 that debuted in 1996. Constructed from 18K white gold with an ivory dial and applied gold hour markers, the watch is both elegant and eye-catching. From all angles, it’s nicely balanced with the complications laid out symmetrically.
An exhibition case back displays the expertly finished calibre 324 S IRM QA LU movement, which is elaborately decorated with Côtes de Genève across the bridges and 21K yellow gold winding rotor. The watch is paired with a factory alligator strap and hallmarked gold deployant clasp with a Calatrava Cross motif.
Originally debuted in 2005, the reference 5146G represents the second generation of annual calendar watches from Patek Philippe. An important model in the company’s catalogue, the patented movement was invented by the brand and only requires the wearer to adjust the date once a year.
