SUMMARY

Corum first introduced its line of nautical-inspired Admiral’s Cup watches in 1960. As part of a long lineage, this 2009 reference measures a significant 44mm in diameter, and is boldly styled as collectors have come to expect from the brand. It’s finished in a blend of vulcanised black rubber and 18K rose gold and uses maritime flags as hour markers which Corum introduced in 1983. Key mechanical aspects of this 2008 Admiral’s Cup are its automatic chronometer-certified movement which is visible through the exhibition rear casing, and its split-second ‘rattrapante’ chronograph.
