Remaining faithful to the 1930s combat watch on which it’s based, the limited-production PAM 262 has substantial heft and presence with its 47mm platinum case. Despite its size, the wire lugs and cushion-style case help it to wear ergonomically on the wrist. The watch features a “California” dial, incorporating a blend of Arabic and Roman numerals to mark the hours.

In honouring vintage examples, Panerai has also omitted its branding from the face to create a legible and utilitarian aesthetic. Looking at the underside, the exhibition caseback reveals the hand-wound calibre OP X, which features a 56-hour power reserve. The watch is complemented by a factory brown leather strap and pin buckle.

Numbered 4 of 99, the watch is presented in excellent condition and includes the box, guarantee, booklet and certificate.
