Sell it with usThe L.U.C Quattro Tourbillon made its debut to great acclaim. What sets it apart from other tourbillon movements of the time is its base calibre beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. This is rare among tourbillons, which typically have a frequency of either 18,000 or 21,600vph. Added to that, the movement is fully certified by COSC as a chronometer.
All of this skilled watchmaking is on view in this Chopard L.U.C. Tourbillon watch, an example from a limited edition of only 50 pieces produced in 2007. It features a 39.5mm platinum case, a skeletonised dial with stylised Roman numeral cut-outs, and eye-catching blue dauphine hands. There’s also a power reserve indicator, sub-seconds and a stunning one-minute tourbillon. The manually wound 33-jewel calibre shows high-end Geneva-seal finishing and provides an eight-day power reserve. In every way, it is a very modern watch that presents a historically important complication in a fresh and exciting way. Attached to the case and complementing the watch’s look is a black crocodile strap with a Chopard signed platinum deployant buckle.
The watch shows some light signs of wear and its condition is within the bounds of the seller’s A grading. The sale includes the box, guarantee papers and booklets.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
