Sell it with usPurchased new by the vendor from an authorised dealer, this Breitling Navitimer is being auctioned as a complete set and is accompanied by its official Breitling guarantee, user manuals - including one for the slide rule - its original box with an external protective sleeve, and chronometer certificate. The vendor has also included a swing tag and bezel protector as part of reference A2332212’s set. The watch has very few age-related swirls or marks on its casing and strap, and its condition appears to be within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
Ref A2332212 is a contemporary take on Breitling’s instantly-recognisable pilot’s watch. Produced from 2003 to 2011, this 2007 watch is presented with a chunky 42mm stainless steel case with a bi-directional bezel making up the part of the watch’s trademark slide rule complication. Underneath this Navitimer’s domed sapphire crystal lies a tasteful electric blue dial with applied silver Arabic numerals and matching sword hands. Positioned at the three, six, and nine o’clock markers are subdials, and a date indicator is located at 4:30. Rounding off this watch’s tasteful aesthetic is a navy blue calf leather strip fitted with a stainless steel buckle.
Housed beneath this hardy timepiece’s screw-down rear case is Breitling’s calibre B23, which is based on the Valjoux 7753. This automatic movement has 27 jewels and is equipped with a power reserve of 42 hours.
Launched in 1953, the Navitimer is Breitling’s most iconic model and, throughout the decades, has served pilots and astronauts the world over with its circular slide rule bezel and functional design.
