Sell it with usPresented through a private vendor, this 2006 TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph is being auctioned as a full set. The watch is accompanied by its original display box, its official TAG Heuer guarantee, booklets - including the user manual - and proof of service from an authorised UK dealer. In line with its age, there appears to be a number of light swirls and scratches on the case, strap clasp, and crystal. Nonetheless, the watch is described to be in good working condition and fits within the bounds of the seller’s ‘A’ grading.
Measuring 39mm in diameter, this watch’s case is finished in stainless steel and is fitted with a black leather strap which contributes to its overall retro design. Beneath the watch’s domed sapphire crystal, a white dial references its motorsport heritage with a white 1/5th seconds chapter ring and blue decimetre measuring length or distance. At three, six, and nine o’clock lie chronograph subdials displaying a 60-second register, a recessed 12-hour register, and a 30-minute register respectively. The dial is fitted with tasteful slender steel sword hands and lume-filled baton hour markers.
Powering the watch is TAG Heuer’s calibre 17. This automatic chronograph is chronometer-certified by the COSC and has a power reserve of up to 42 hours.
The TAG Heuer Carrera was first launched in 1963 to commemorate the Carrera Panamericana and has since become a revered motorsport-inspired model line. It’s widely considered to be TAG’s riposte to the legendary Rolex Daytona.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
