The IWC Mark series is a long-running and historical line in IWC’s catalogue. It’s arguably the definitive pilot’s watch and traces its routes back to 1948 with the release of the Mark XI.

In 1999, The Mark XV was launched - offering the same utilitarian feel as previous iterations, but in a slightly larger 38mm size. The watch has a fully satin-finished case and a matt black dial with contrasting hands, minutes track, and Arabic numerals. A date aperture is discretely integrated into the 3 o’clock position. Inside the case is an IWC modified ETA 2892 calibre movement equipped with a 42-hour power reserve.

This 2006 example shows some light signs of wear, and its condition is within the seller’s A grading. Accompanying the watch are two straps - one black with contrast stitching and the other black with a factory IWC signed deployant clasp. The sale also includes the original box and papers.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details.
