Offered by a private collector, this one-owner Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 is being auctioned, complete with its box, pictograms, warranty and limited series card. Also included are the certificate of authenticity, swing tags and leather pouch. Presented with some marking around the lugs, it is within the bounds of the seller’s ‘A’ grading.

This special edition Speedmaster celebrates the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11 and honours the first successful lunar mission, with the date ‘July 21, 1969’ found on the caseback. On the dial, a silver medallion showing the American eagle is present. Limited to 7969 pieces, it is powered by the Lemania based caliber 1861 movement, one of the few movements without Omega’s Co-Axial mechanism.

A modern timepiece paying tribute to one of humankind’s greatest achievements, this Speedmaster serves as a reminder of the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11.
