SUMMARY

As far as Lange 1 references go, there are few as pure as the silver-on-platinum subtlety of reference 101.025. Arguably, the Lange 1 is one of the most iconic watches to have emerged in the last few decades. Its defining feature is the asymmetrical and outsized date windows. The date display sits off-centre from the dial but retains a strong sense of place due to the use of the golden ratio in the watch’s overall design. While the big date windows do not exactly fall into 'complication' territory, the Lange 1 is far more than a simple time-only dress watch and is deserving of the adoration it receives from collectors thanks to its unique design, high levels of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
