Sell it with usOne of 4000 pieces produced in 2001, this limited edition Omega Speedmaster “Michael Schumacher” Racing is being offered by a private seller and is a watch-only lot. The vendor advises the watch is in good working order. Cosmetically, there are visible marks and scratches on the case and bracelet commensurate with age and regular wear. Its overall condition appears to be within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
Released in limited numbers to commemorate the F1 champion’s 2000 title victory, this Speedmaster “Michael Schumacher” Racing is presented in a 39mm case and paired with a factory bracelet - both of which are finished in stainless steel with a blend of brush and polished surfaces. As part of the Speedmaster Automatic family, the watch has slightly smaller dimensions than its more famous “moon watch” counterpart but shares the same classic design cues including lyre-style lugs and a tachymeter bezel.
A standout feature of this limited watch is the silver “racing” dial, which is finished in a checkered pattern. Around the perimeter, staggered hash marks are printed alongside orange pips and framed by a solid red line.
On the underside, some commemorative text is printed on the case back, in addition to Schumacher’s signature and the individual build number. The watch is powered by calibre 3220, which is based on the robust and reliable ETA 2892-A2 and features a chronograph module by Dubois-Depraz.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
