Sell it with usThe short-lived GST collection from IWC is seen by collectors as the perfect balance between a sports and dress watch. With integrated bracelets back in vogue, this is a perfect opportunity to obtain a rare jewel from the past.
The GST chronograph range from IWC was produced between 1999 and 2003 after which the line disappeared altogether. This sports-inspired chronograph was available in either gold, titanium, or like this one steel, which is where the initials GST come from, all with matching integrated bracelets.
Presented in a 40mm case with a reassuring heft to its height at 13.95mm, this robust case houses the self-winding calibre 7922 (Valjoux 7750) with a power reserve of approximately 44 hours.
Its crisp white dial with accented hour markers, minute, and hour hands, along with its subtle yet useful chronograph display for the day & date and hacking small seconds creates a balanced, understated, and endearing face to the watch. Water resistance is listed as 120m.
Presented in a pre-loved condition, this watch has been worn and used extensively. As all sports watches should be. There are marks and scratching across the bracelet and case, but the crystal, legibility and functionality remain in excellent condition. Original box and papers are omitted.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid.
