ZenithDefy Xtreme Open El Primero

Offered by a private collector, this Zenith Defy Xtreme Open Chronograph El Primero is accompanied by its box, outer packaging and instructions manual. Presented with some factory stickers still in place and some light marking on the clasp, it is consistent with the seller’s ‘A’ grading.

Big and bold, the case of the Defy Xtreme measures 46.5mm across and is constructed primarily from PVD coated titanium. Combined with rose gold, the watch profits from a luxurious feel despite its utilitarian look and function. With a water resistance of 1000 metres, a retrograde power reserve indicator and a minute chronograph drive in the form of a turbine, the name Xtreme is perfectly suited to the capabilities of this watch. Despite its size, the titanium construction helps the watch sit comfortably on the wrist. Powering the watch is the El Primero 4021 SX, an open-worked chronograph with over 50 hours of power reserve.

Designed to withstand harsh conditions, the Defy Xtreme seen here is designed to go deep, absorb shocks, tell the time and measure elapsed time while also preserving Zenith’s heritage in chronograph complications.
