Sharing many design cues with its big brother, the Rolex Daytona, the Prince Date was Tudor’s interpretation of a sports chronograph in the 1990s and early 2000s.

The case measures 40mm and is instantly recognisable due to the shape, date magnifier, polished bezel with engraved tachymeter, and screw-down crown and pushers - all design elements borrowed from the Daytona. Black sub-registers contrast with the silver dial, and applied batons mark the hours. Some colour is introduced with the “TIGER” inscription marking Tudor’s endorsement of the famous golfer who they first sponsored in 1997. Attached to the case is a stainless-steel bracelet with a folding clasp and safety catch. Inside the watch beats a Valjoux 7750 movement with a 48-hour power reserve.

The watch is presented in good condition with some marks and scratches commensurate with age. Also included in the sale are the box and papers.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence.
