ABOUT THIS WATCH
- A rare and highly regarded contribution to Patek Philippe’s venerable history, the Neptune launched in 1998 and was discontinued in 2005
- The reference was conceived as a midpoint between the ‘Holy Trinity’ Swiss watchmaker’s sports watches such as the Nautilus and Aquanaut, and its dress pieces from the Calatrava line
- The Neptune, also known as the ‘Moonphase Power Reserve’ was available in either stainless steel or 18K yellow gold, and its case diameter is 37mm with a water resistance of 30 Metres
- Featuring a ‘droplet’ bracelet with double folding clasp, this example is crafted from stainless steel and comes paired with a black dial displaying a small seconds counter at four o’clock, a date/moonphase dial at 7 o’clock, and a power reserve indicator positioned between 10 and 11 o’clock
- Beneath the transparent caseback beats Patek Philippe’s calibre 240 PS IRM C L U, an automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve
- This movement is finished with an 18K yellow gold micro rotor engraved with the Patek Philippe Calatrava Cross
