SUMMARY
Manufactured from 1994 to 2005, the IWC Fliegeruhr is a reminder of the brand's heritage of producing functional, legible, aviation watches. This 2000s reference measures 42mm in diameter and comes fitted with a silver tritium dial featuring Arabic numerals and three chronograph dials positioned at six, nine, and 12 o'clock. Beneath the screw-down rear beats IWC's heavily modified version of the Valjoux 7750 calibre; a reliable automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve. Thanks to its utilitarian character, the IWC Fliegeruhr is a throwback to a time before the Swiss brand started to make its transition into a luxury watchmaker over the last two decades.
