Sell it with usAuctioned by a private collector, this IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar is accompanied by its box and proof of purchase. Presented with some light signs of wear, it is consistent with the seller’s ‘A’ grading. The watch has previously been sold through Sotheby’s at auction.
The Da Vinci collection is known for its rounded case with hinged lugs, as seen here. Symmetry is one of the main design cues of this watch, with the black dial featuring four subregisters at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. Apart from the time, the IWC calibre 79261 displays the year, day, date, month and also has a chronograph function as well. Fitted to the case is a steel beads of rice bracelet, which compliments the dressy character of the watch nicely.
Known for its association with aviation, IWC is much more than that. The Da Vinci collection is a reminder of what the brand is able to achieve when it’s free to produce a timepiece that emulates art.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
