The Cartier Baignoire was introduced in 1957, although its design draws inspiration from a creation conceived by Louis Cartier in 1912 when he gifted a piece unique to the Russian Grand Duchess Pavlovna. The Baignoire’s smooth oval shape has stood the test of time through small adaptations over the last century.

The white gold case and diamond-set bezel elevate the watch’s luxury and elegance to new heights. The combination of the Baignoire’s overlooked heritage and a diamond-set bezel appeals to those who want to make a statement without shouting too loudly. The slim black leather strap provides some balance and beautifully compliments the overall character of the watch.

This example from 2009 shows some light swirls on the case back, and its condition is within the seller’s A grading. A new factory leather strap has been fitted, and the owner notes that it has been serviced and is in perfect working condition. Included in the sale is the original Cartier box.
