Sell it with usAuctioned through a private seller, this 2000’s Breguet Marine comes presented with a display box, instruction manual, and an additional crocodile leather strap. The watch has some light age-related marks and swirls; most of which are noticeable on the lugs and bracelet. In good working order, the watch fits within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
Crafted in a tasteful mix of satin and brushed 18k gold, the case of this elegant sports watch measures 43mm in diameter and comes paired to a bracelet with a double deployant clasp. The silver dial is a source of visual intrigue, thanks in part to its intricate guilloche finish and sub-registers positioned at six and nine o’clock. Hour-marking Roman numerals and hands are finished in blue and provide the watch with a timeless elegance seldom found in comparable models from other brands.
Beneath the sapphire crystal case back is Breguet’s 583Q/1 automatic calibre, which comprises 24 jewels and is equipped with a power reserve of 48 hours. As per the tradition of the Breguet Marine family, the watchmaker has finished the movement’s engine-turned rotor in 18k yellow gold to match its case.
Launched in 1990, the Breguet Marine family draws on the brand’s heritage of producing nautical and timekeeping equipment from the French Navy.
