Bought by the current owner in 2000 from the Patek Philippe boutique in Paris, and having been serviced since, this watch is offered as a full set with the original box, documents, the spare solid case back and the original gold Patek Philippe deployant buckle. The watch shows signs of light wear with only minor scratches to the case, crown, and pushers, positioning this watch withing the bounds of the seller’s A grading. The watch is currently fitted to a non-Patek Philippe brown leather strap.

Cased in 18k yellow gold the watch has a silver dial with gold Arabic numerals. Day and month apertures are positioned at 12, date and moon phase are found at 6 with the subdials at 3 and 9 serving dual purpose; to the left running seconds and 24hr indicator and to the right minute counter and leap year indicator. Chronograph pushers are found on the left of the case with the split chronograph actuator mounted in the winding crown. Through the sapphire case back, the highly complex calibre CHR 27-70Q can be admired.

Launched in 1996 and discontinued in 2011, the reference 5004 is one of the most revered of modern Patek Philippe models, being the first time a split chronograph and a perpetual calendar had been combined in a serially produced watch.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence.
